Fundamental Parameters (FP)
Physics-based quantification that reduces dependence on matching calibration standards.
Fundamental Parameters (FP) quantification uses physical models of X-ray absorption, fluorescence yield, and detector response to calculate concentrations without a perfect matrix-matched standard for every alloy.
FP is especially valuable in PMI when the exact grade is unknown. Specelex software combines FP with grade libraries for robust field results.
